Three members of SFI’s external faculty have been named fellows of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) for 2014, the association announced on November 24.

External Professors Mark Newman and John Harte were honored for their distinguished contributions to physics, and External Professor Aviv Bergman for his contributions to biological sciences.

AAAS, founded in 1848, is the world’s largest general scientific society. Fellows are chosen for their contributions to scientific and societal applications of science, and elected by peers.
