The popular Science On Screen series continues December 17 in Santa Fe with SFI Omidyar Fellow Eric Libby presenting Alien

"In space, no one can hear you scream." Ridley Scott’s unbeatable sci-fi horror classic follows a spacecraft invaded by a maleficent creature bent on destruction. Omidyar Fellow Eric Libby, a biologist with a fascination in how cells mutate and evolve into new organizations, will introduce the film with a presentation.

The show begins at 7:00 p.m. at the Center for Contemporary Arts (CCA), 1050 Old Pecos Trail, in Santa Fe. Advance tickets are recommended. For tickets and prices, call the CCA Box Office at 505-982-1338.

Science On Screen is a collaboration of SFI and the CCA. During each showing, an Institute scientist presents a favorite film, offering personal perspectives and insights from the world of science. It's an idea-rich spin on the movies.
