What beer and running taught me about the scientific process

Abstract:  Aschwanden will discuss lessons about the scientific method that she learned while reporting her new bestselling book, GOOD TO GO: What the Athlete in All of Us Can Learn from the Strange Science of Recovery. She’ll explain the insights she gained about statistics, scientific methodology and reproducibility during her quest to answer a simple question about the effects of beer on running. She’ll also discuss why it’s important for reporters to approach science with the same skepticism they’d use while covering other beats, such as politics.

Those unable to attend can stream the talk from our YouTube channel.
