Collins Conference Room
Workshop
  US Mountain Time
Speaker:
Robin McLean, author

Our campus is closed to the public for this event.

Description: I think that we each write like we dress – in a particular style that we barely think about. In this workshop, we will be subversive. Using a variety of short creative writing craft experiments, we will—stylistically—"try on" other sets of clothes, turning our usual writing style upside down, thereby seeing it – perhaps for the first time. We will find ourselves constructing lines we didn't know we could write. The aim will be liberty and fun. The workshop will be well-suited for any kind of writer, science writers for example, who require dexterity and bold moves to effectively express new, complex, and abstract ideas.
