Janet Gunn

Janet Gunn is the Vice President for Administration at the Santa Fe Institute, where she has served in two leadership roles since 2016. Prior to SFI, she was Chief Administrative Officer at the Akal Group (AGC), a large federal contractor based in New Mexico and in Washington, DC. A versatile manager and skilled collaborator, she brings over 25 years of professional experience in management and organizational leadership including founding (with two partners) a small business that grew to employ 300 people and was purchased by Zurich Financial Services in 1999. She moved to Santa Fe from Toronto in 2000, accepting a management position at BiosGroup which was founded by former SFI Professor Stuart Kauffman and Ernst & Young Global Limited.

 

As Vice President for Administration, Gunn oversees operational activities at SFI.
