Martha Lewis
Research Fellow
Martha is visiting from the University of Bristol in the UK, where she is a lecturer in the School of Engineering Mathematics and Technology.
Her interests are how humans are able to combine concepts to form new ones, and how new and unexpected attributes arise in these combinations. She uses interdisciplinary approaches to modelling language and concepts covering three broad areas - compositional approaches to language and meaning, applications of quantum theory in modelling language, and evolutionary approaches to language.
