Working Group
  US Mountain Time

Our campus is closed to the public for this event.

Abstract. The goal of this working group is to understand the dynamics of search processes in which the searchers move stochastically through a medium or a network to find a specified target. An important issue is how to optimize this type of search process in terms of the time to find the target and minimization of the cost of the search. We think that there is an excellent opportunity for cross-fertilization between computer science, biology, and physics to bring our diverse backgrounds to bear on problems of common interest.
