— TRANSPORTATION —
All Symposium Talks, Panels, and Social Events take place in the Railyard area of Santa Fe, and Hotel Santa Fe, SITE Santa Fe, Opuntia Café, and Altar Spirits are all within ~5 minute walking distance to each other. For transportation between the Albuquerque Airport and Santa Fe, we recommend Groome Transportation shuttle. For transportation between the Santa Fe Airport and your local accommodations, we recommend Private Car Service Santa Fe (505-660-3227) or Santa Fe Valet (505-424-2171). Uber and Lyft also operate in Santa Fe, but on a much smaller scale and there can sometimes be a longer wait for those services. Santa Fe Airport also has a car rental service onsite. If you are staying at the Hotel Santa Fe and/or are not renting a car, we have arranged shuttles to depart Hotel Santa Fe at 8:45AM and 9:15AM on Friday, November 4th in order to take people from Hotel Santa Fe to the Santa Fe Institute's Cowan Campus for the Tutorial on Scale. A return shuttle will depart SFI's Cowan Campus at 11:45AM, stopping at Hotel Santa Fe before continuing on directly to SITE Santa Fe for the remaining events of the day. There is metered parking in the lot directly adjacent to SITE Santa Fe. There is also parking just a short 5-minute walk from SITE in the Railyard Municipal Garage. The garage is even closer to the evenings' social event venues that we’ll walk to after the meeting each day. We are happy to validate your Railyard Municipal Garage parking for the day. Don't forget to bring your ticket! |
— COVID-19 VACCINATION & MASK INFORMATION —
We require all symposium attendees to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination. If you have tested positive for COVID-19 or are feeling unwell, we request that you not attend any in person events. We will have COVID tests available at SFI and SITE Santa Fe. There are currently no masking requirements for indoor events in the state of New Mexico, including the Santa Fe Institute. We expect upwards of 80 people at in-person Symposium events, and if you are high-risk, or live with someone who is high-risk, we encourage you to take personal precautions to protect yourself according to your comfort level. Masks and hand sanitizer will be available at all events. |
